The DIGI-LAS/MDL is a modular laser welding system based on a precise technology. Its mounting module integrate the high power fiber laser welding head high resolution laser-cameras for seam tracking and for inspection.
A wire-feeder using the vision measurements to deliver optimized filling material can also be added to the modular system.
The DIGI-LAS/MDL enables laser welding of 2-D and 3-D curvilinear joints at speeds up to 10 m/minute thanks to its patented compensation technology. Same and dissimilar material thicknesses are currently welded with the DIGI-LAS/MDL in the butt joint configuration.
