ARC-SCAN

The Arc-Scan system is the visual weld inspection and measurement system for arc welded components. It has been used in applications ranging from in-process real-time weld quality measurement to offline auditing. In all cases, the objective consistent measurements have proven to be far superior to the visual human inspection and provide more information than the periodic weld cross sectioning without any destructive action taken prior to/while carrying inspection.

• Automated system designed to perform non-destructive weld surface inspection to measure the weld geometry and detect defects  
• Can inspect at speeds up to 2-5 m/min.  
• Can measure features like undercut, entry angle and toe radius which are critical for fatigue life assessment.
• Identifies variation in the process
