Although it took many years of research and development before a Servo-Robot product came out of our laboratory after the inception of the company, Servo-Robot was born in 1983 and therefore will celebrate its 25th birthday in 2008!
There are many stories to tell from the initial business plan through the recruiting of the first engineers to the globally known company we are today.

Every entrepreneur knows what it takes to succeed, but not every new company survives the global challenges that the welding and robotic industry leads us through.  Besides creativity, sound engineering concepts, rigorous business processes and extreme focus, there were several other critical ingredients, required to happily go through the first 25 years! They include: honesty, relentless effort and attention to details. As Malcolm Gladwell explains in his bestseller entitled “The Tipping Point”, little things can make a big difference between success and failure. However, hard work is still required every day, be it to complete a new product that must be delivered on time, or to stay nights and weekends to service a customer in a different time zone.

For our 25th anniversary, Servo-Robot will complete the full introduction of its powerful IT platform that is achieving new performance records. Our innovative “on-board” vision and process control laser-cameras are about to bring vision intelligence to every robot at a fraction of the previous cost. Servo-Robot is also expanding in the area of intelligent robotic processes including robotic handling and measurement with its new ROBO-PAL™ hybrid sensing product lines.

I believe that innovation power and careful listening to our customers needs, will lead us through another 25 years. 25 years after our company’s creation, the original innovative spirit remains intact. It still nurtures our everyday tasks, projects and dreams which are shared by our new collaborators that are today approximately the same age we were 25 years ago!
